Whether you’re having lunch, dinner or relaxing after a long hard day, Drift on 7th is your respite — a place to relax and take a short vacation from you day.
Drift on 7th is your neighborhood retreat where you can relax and enjoy fresh seafood, great drinks and count on an easy, enjoyable dining experience. Our comfortable, laid back atmosphere offers a wide variety of delicious, patiently prepared meals at an exceptionally great value. Whether we are grilling salmon, pan-searing Chesapeake rockfish, or lightly sautéing delicate scallops, we keep it simple so that the flavor shines through.
We pride ourselves on bringing you the freshest local, seasonal and responsibly raised fish, produce, and ingredients. We start each morning by choosing fish that are fresh-caught. We cut and trim it ourselves and prepare it to create some dishes that you know and some that we’d like to introduce to you. Our favorite farmers come to the back door with just-picked greens and vegetables. We’ve scouted the area for fantastic bread, ice cream and assorted beverages including craft beers from regional breweries and Maine Root handcrafted sodas.
Drift and Enjoy!
At Drift on 7th, our philosophy is Simply Fresh. From our fish and seafood to our soups, signature fries and side dishes, we strive to source all of the food we serve at Drift locally. Chef Ferhat Yalçin believes that food tastes naturally delicious when it is fresh and is simply prepared. This is why he has established relationships with local growers and producers to gather only the best selections of fresh fish, dairy and produce each day.
Stroll along the shores of the Bosphorus at the crack of dawn any morning and you will see fishermen pulling fish after fish from the fabled waters. Whatever is caught goes from the sea to the grill and onto a freshly baked bun, garnished with onions, lettuce and tomato and presented within minutes to waiting patrons. Everyone in Istanbul enjoys this “Balik Ekmek,” and it is from this popular Turkish delight that proprietor/chef Ferhat Yalçin has drawn his inspiration for Drift on 7th and the Fishnet family of restaurants.
